iRide Training Makes Shortlist for International Sports Technology Awards
Joins Adidas, Vodafone, Sky Sports and Chelsea FC as Award Contenders.
Today, 5th February, it was announced that iRide Training has been shortlisted for the Sports Technology Awards in the category of ‘Best Technology in a Single Sport’. Joining the likes of Sky, O2, Wilson and Adidas, iRide Training will now go on to see which company emerges victorious at the awards ceremony in April.
With technology influencing sport like never before, The Sports Technology Awards rewards and celebrates the best and most innovative technology advances within the sector.
The awards are judged by some of the biggest names in the industry including Olympians, World Cup winners, leading coaches and conditioners as well as representatives from cutting-edge digital brands such as Twitter, BT and the BBC.
iRide Training offers a unique one on one training system for riders of all levels and abilities. It’s success has brought both leisure and competitive riders affordable, quality training from international riders,trainers and judges making training accessible world wide. Riders train through using their smart phone or mp3 whilst riding with their chosen downloaded audio lesson.
Rebecca Hopkins, Director of the Sport Technology Awards explained “The influence of technology on sport continues to grow and can often be invisible as it contributes in so many unseen ways. This includes the way fans engage with athletes and teams, how coaches prepare their charges for major events or how broadcasters relay sport, the list is almost endless. The Sports Technology Awards have been created as a showcase for the companies which enhance all elements of the sector and the response has been amazing. It is testament to the work of iRide Training that they fought off significant competition to make the shortlist.”

The winners will be announced at a lunchtime ceremony in London on 4th April. Tickets can be purchased via the event website.
